You Are Your Own First Responder Course
"You Are Your Own First Responder" - Don't Get Killed, Don't Go to Jail, Don't Get Sued! Aloha folks!
I am thrilled to outline the upcoming class, "You Are Your Own First Responder," which focuses on firearm safety, self-defense, and legal considerations. In this transformative learning experience, our primary goal is to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect yourself while ensuring you stay out of harm's way, legal troubles, and civil court proceedings. Let's delve into what lies ahead.
Part 1: Lecture-Based Learning - Building a Solid Foundation During the initial 2.5 hours, we will engage in lecture-based learning to establish a strong foundation. We will review the fundamentals of firearm safety, ownership, and address the specific laws and concerns relevant to Hawaii. Understanding these basics is crucial in becoming a responsible firearm owner. Additionally, we will delve into the five essential elements that must be met to successfully claim self-defense. Remember, our ultimate aim is to ensure that you never have to use your firearms to protect your life. Nevertheless, in the event that you do, it is imperative to be well-prepared and emerge victorious in that first crucial encounter. You must be tactically superior, smarter, and faster than any potential threat.
Part 2: Scenario-Based/Force-on-Force Training - Transforming Knowledge into Action The second part of our class, "You Are Your Own First Responder," focuses on scenario- based/force-on-force training! This aspect, overlooked in over 90% conventional firearm training, is absolutely essential. We will simulate critical situations that you may encounter in real life, including armed robberies, interactions with mentally unstable/homeless people, domestic violence incidents, workplace violence, road rage, and even active shooter scenarios!
During these simulations, you will face split-second life-or-death decisions. It is crucial that you make these decisions effectively, all while staying within legal and moral guidelines. Moreover, you will be challenged to articulate the reasoning behind each decision you make. Yes, these scenarios can be intense and provoke stress, but that is precisely the point. By immersing you in a safe and controlled environment, we will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to become your own first responder.
In the class titled "You Are Your Own First Responder," our focus is clear: Don't Get Killed, Don't Go to Jail, Don't Get Sued. We will navigate the intricacies of firearm ownership, self-defense, and the legal landscape with this mantra in mind. By the end of this class, you will emerge as empowered individuals who are fully prepared to take charge of your own safety and well-being.
Rest assured, as a student, you will absolutely NOT be subjected to getting shot at with airsoft guns. Your safety and comfort are our utmost priority. However, you will have the valuable opportunity to actively engage with airsoft guns by using them to shoot at trained instructors during the role-playing exercises. This hands-on experience enhances realism and fosters a sense of accountability, allowing you to truly understand and respect the subject matter without any risks to your well-being.
